The countdown begins**…

** It actually started just shy of 38 years ago, but that’s another epoch topic for another epoch day.***
*** Though I guess there will never again be another epoch day, huh?! Well, at least not until January ~19th, 2038 when the Millennium Bug gets his a$$ stomped by the 32bit Bug, transporting us all back to December 13th, 1901. That’ll be a pretty epoch day, but as usual, I digress… ;-)
I’m going underground for the next 3.4 days. See ya’ll on the flipside of 11111011000! :D

Last semester my wife came home from her computer class and asked, “What’s the significance of January 19, 2038?” She seemed somewhat startled when I knew the answer off the top of my head. Alas, where’s the Computer Geek edition of Trivial Pursuit?
My only issue with the whole matter is the Wikipedia is stating that computers will interpret binary zeroes as January 1, 1901, which doesn’t make sense. It would actually be interpreted as January 1, 1970. Which leaves just one question, where is that Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young Déjà vu CD, eh, LP?
