Well, no, O’Reilly won’t be exhibiting, but I’ll be attending DevConnections next week (November 6-9) on behalf of the Company and talking with as many attendees and speakers as I can.
This will be my first DevConnections show and I hope to blog news and impressions early and often here at the O’Reilly Windows DevCenter. Given my editorial responsibilities, I’ll be spending most of my time in the ASP.NET, and the Visual Studio tracks. After all, Juval Lowy, author of our forthcoming Programming WCF Services (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/programwcf/), is Visual Studio Connections co-chair, and Paul Litwin, co-author of our Access Cookbook (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/accesscook2/), is co-chairing ASP.NET Connections. With the release of .NET 3.0 just around the corner and an “out-of-band” ASP.NET AJAX (aka “Atlas”) release headed our way, there’s a lot of developer technology to digest. Selected O’Reilly titles will be on sale in the show bookstore, including our recently published Programming Atlas (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/atlas/), by Christian Wenz.
Look me up on the floor. I’d love to hear what you think is important and useful (as well as what’s not).
