If you’re unfamiliar with the reference here, I really wanted to provide a link to the Colbert Report opening montage, where you can see Liberty the Eagle in all his/her glory. Unfortunately, there’s not a sign of it anywhere on the Comedy Central site or YouTube.

The problem with media-related humor is that, by its nature, you need to be familiar with the reference in order to get the joke. So for those of you in some far off land where the Colbert Report is unavailable, trust me that this strip is hilarious…
