 Human-Links
peer-to-peer Internet map

Human-Links is a new way to search the web that categorizes public information in a personalized and relevant manner and generates accurate responses tailored to each user's specific needs.

By using an adaptable p2p approach coupled with advanced concepts in cognitive science, Human-Links will dramatically increase available resources while simplifying the process of navigation. Programmed to function as a shared neural network, Human-Links will match the organic, disorganized nature of the expanding Internet, making sense of the glorious mess.

Human-Links is based on a group of technologies that fall roughly within the disciplines of cognitive science and artificial intelligence, and is derived from algorithms that stem from research in data compression and natural language translation.

The brains of Human-Links are comprised of a complex classification system that identifies conceptual patterns in web and rich-media documents. This process essentially distills the text to its very core meanings and then situates the document in relation to other works of greater or lesser relevance. The advantage to this system is that the software develops a sense of the way you organize the world and enables you to interact with and share you knowledge accordingly, rather than imposing a standardized cultural or linguistic lexicon.

The muscle of the project is derived from a robust peer-to-peer networking environment that functions more or less independently from a central server. The system is designed on an open-source platform with public sockets targeted at third-party development communities.

Our software suite is currently under development, but we are actively seeking out individuals who can see the advantages of this approach to help with the beta-test. Also, we're giving away lots of cool stuff to test participants, including a vacation package (your choice of destination), Palm PDAs, DVD players and discs.

If you would like to help with the Human-Links beta test, just send us your email address through the submission form above so that we can notify you as soon as the testing process begins.
