Linux Today has a brief statement by Jeremy Allison and Andrew Tridgell of Samba on the loopholes in the MS settlement language with regard to documentation of proprietary server protocols. A generous reading says they must be disclosed; a suspicious one argues that the settlement gives Microsoft enormous discretion about what actually needs to be revealed.Tim O'Reilly is the founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc., thought by many to be the best computer book publisher in the world.
