All I can say is, Wow.
This thing is going to revolutionize not just the way I work but how I live as well. I've already started using Microsoft OneNote for planning projects, taking notes in meetings, annotating research materials, and scrapbooking tips from Donald Trump's newsletters. I can barely imagine how I'll be using my Tablet only a few months from now.
I've shown my Tablet to others and their eyes bug out when I show them what it can do. Kids see its potential for use in school. My carpenter friend can see how it would be useful for sketching proposals for clients. Business friends see its potential for use in their businesses. Even a soccer mom has use for it.
Last time I was at Microsoft's campus in Redmond, I was walking around and noticed their flag that said "Your potential, our passion." That's not just hype or bullshit. Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 is truly extraordinary in its power to unlock one's potential, and I recommend you take a hard look at it for both personal and business use before you purchase your next laptop.

Thanks, I looked at the SketchUp site and watched the video and it's a cool tool, but it's certainly not a "killer app" for the Tablet unless you're an architect or designer. The point of my post is that the Tablet PC *itself* is a "killer product" that can radically change the way knowledge workers of all kinds can do their work :) -

Uh, I think Bill Gates proved that hardware is virtually useless without software applications that enable people to achieve some objective.
So which killer app came first? Sketching pictures of animals on the walls of the cave or cursive notation taken while sitting in a boring project management meeting?
The burned piece of charcoal Gog discovered he could use to make marks with or a pictorial memory or thought in Gog's mind he had no way to convey to others until he downloaded those thoughts onto his Charcoal Drafting Stick R1.0 and started sketching on the walls of the cave?
SketchUp on the Tablet PC replicates one of mankind's oldest experiences; the tactile experience of holding a tool in the hand. A tool such as a pencil and paper, a tactile experience that results in an epiphany when software like SketchUp is used on a Tablet PC.

But seriously, a killer app ideal for use on the Tablet PC is available from SketchUp.com. Amazing software.
