PalmOne has released a ROM update (v 1.13) for the Treo 650 (unlocked GSM). Under the "Installation: Mac" section, here is step number 14:

What?! How much of an effort would it take to write a simple script or utility that would do this on the user's behalf? People shouldn't have to manually delete 44 files in order to complete an upgrade. This step seems applicable to those who use Palm Desktop, however. Since I use Missing Sync, I could happily skip this step - I just had to make sure my "Backup" conduit was NOT set to "Restore from backup".

[oracle]: If you are running a Windows NT network with NETBIOS, please stand on your left foot for 30 seconds. Should you need to catch yourself, do not be alarmed, but begin again from a count of 1. Upon completion of your balance script, enter the number of hearbeats that occurred during your ordeal. Be sure to put floppy NUMBER 5 into the disk drive BEFORE your balancing exercise. Started without reading all the way to this point? Do not worry, the horse has left the barn.
