  I think the poll is more about why you consider it to be quality software. Is it because it's reliable, because it has great security, etc.?
  
  Personally I picked reliability, but it only barely edged out customization. The former is more important at work; the latter moreso at home.

  Without even necessarily *doing* any customization, Linux is simply more flexible, it's *able* to do more easily if the need should arise.

  I find Linux more reliable (stable), secure, cheaper and faster. I can also customise it to suit my preferences.
