  It amazes me that web sites still even distribute using Real format? QT first, WM second! Ever tried to download the Real player from Real's web site? It's a nightmare! It's like navigating all the hoops to get that mythic "free iPod" ;-) Then, should you actually get Real on your machine, it is buggy and bombards you with ads. (in my opinion, of course).

  Instead of using Real Player, use Real Alternative.
  
  I have a few Real Videos on a Disc and I use this to play them and it works fine.
  
  I din't remember the site address, you'll have to google it.
  
  There is also a Quick Time Alternative out there incase anyone is interested ;-)

  If you have firefox (which you really should), you can download a plugin that allows you to view Real media files without actually having the program
