Java Web Developer
Instructables is looking for a well-rounded and experienced Java web developer to join our small team in San Francisco. Experience creating web-based Java back-ends for high-traffic websites is required.
- BS/BA in CS or related field
- 6+ years Java experience
- Experience with open source stacks such as Resin/Tomcat, Hibernate, MySQL, JUnit
- Well versed in trouble shooting database and performance related issues
- Expertise in object-oriented design methodology, testing, and application development in Java
- Experienced in developing and planning out servlets/JSPs in a reusable and consistent manner
- Comfortable working with and developing APIs
- Prefer knowledge of CSS, Javascript, and scripting languages like python
- Experience with scaling production environments a plus.
