Speaker Manager-Conferences

As a key member of our conferences team, we will look to you to oversee and coordinate all activities pertaining to speaker presentations at O’Reilly conferences and events. This will include corresponding to potential speakers, overseeing budgets (including reconciliation, payments and expense reimbursement), providing confirmation of presentation timing, coordinating speaker presentation materials, biographies and ensuring that speakers are prepared and on time at conferences and events.

Speakers play a crucial role in the success of the conference program and with O’Reilly’s reputation, as a provider of high quality technical content, high-performance in this position will create strong preference for and participation at events by speakers.

Minimum Requirements

• One year background in event planning and/or talent booking
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to problem solve and change up during rapidly changing circumstances
• Experience in a corporate environment
• Ability to travel to events for up to one week at a time (Average 8/yr.)
• Ability to work extended hours at conferences and events
