Flash Artist - Chumby Industries

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead the flash development activities at Chumby Industries, an exciting new always-on FlashLite-based wi-fi start-up in San Diego.

We started Chumby as an experiment. www.chumby.com. We wanted to see if it was possible to create an incredibly useful and low-cost Net-connected device that permitted, even encouraged, technically sophisticated users to hack it, and less technically sophisticated users to personalize it - in as many ways as possible.

Now we are no longer an experiment, we are backed by leading venture capital firms and are generating a lot of interest not just on the blogs but with top media companies, and are moving toward full-scale national consumer launch. We are looking for smart, creative and committed people who will contribute to our growing team in San Diego. If you have experience in the areas below and want to be a part of an exciting start-up, we want to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years working with Adobe/Macromedia Flash , Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with Flash animation, video and audio
• Ability to work with developers to integrate Actionscript programming
• Ability to optimize graphics for size and speed
• Ability to graphics in a variety of styles
• Candidates must be able to provide portfolio/samples
