I started to read the book so curious and with the idea of learning a lot about how to integrate/run functional programming inside Java/JVM. Maybe because I expected too much, I have had a disappointment after reading the book. The author doesn't go too deeply in functional programming, and the examples doesn't show nothing new for an experienced developer, or aren't practical in real environment, for example I am pretty sure that nobody would implement the iteration of a list in a recursive way in Java, of course in other languages it has more sense.
