Jason Stewart is the primary instigator of Open Informatics, a contract bioinformatics consulting company. Besides educating scientists about the benefits of Open Source, and inciting riots with petitions to get public funding agencies to endorse Open Source, Stewart works on a number of Open Source projects including, GeneX, MGED, MAGEstk, and Xerces.
