Bio

Jonathan "Duke" Leto has worked in the free and open source software community for over 15 years. He has contributed to many projects using a wide array of programming languages, including Mozilla Firefox, Perl 5 and Parrot Virtual Machine. In addition, Duke has participated in mentorship programs such as Google Summer of Code and Google Code-In, serving as a mentor and organization administrator, and helping students learn about software development and become active contributors to the open source community. He has a BS and MS in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida and has published academic papers on differential equations and scientific computing. When he's not hacking code, mentoring students, or networking with his local tech user groups, he can be found riding his bicycle on one of the many beautiful multi-use paths that surround sunny Portland, Oregon.
