Kerry Butson is the Senior Manager of Course Development at the O'Reilly School of Technology. She began her career with OST as an instructor in 1999 when the school was known as UserActive, Inc. During her years as an instructor, Kerry mentored literally thousands of OST students in a wide array of courses, including Web Programming, Client Side Programming, Open Source Programming, PHP/SQL Programming, and the Linux/Unix Systems Administration Certificate Series.
Eventually, she transitioned from an instructor to her current position where she collaborates with instructors, authors, and technical team members to improve the student experience. She coordinates the ongoing improvement of OST's online learning systems, and is currently managing the development of OST's newest course series for Mobile Applications, C++, and Network Security. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.
