Tom Hughes-Croucher is the CTO at Change.org, the world's largest online petition site. Previously he ran Jetpacks for Dinosaurs, a consultancy specialising in Node.js and High Performance web sites. Jetpacks for Dinosaurs' clients include Walmart and MySpace. He also worked at Joyent as Chief Evangelist with the Node.js team and at Yahoo as a senior Technology Evangelist. In addition to publishing new research in computing, Tom has contributed to a number of Web standards for the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the British Standards Institute (BSI). Over the course of his Tom has worked with many leading organisation and companies such as Walmart, Yahoo!, MySpace, Joyent, NASA, Tesco, Three telecom and UK Channel 4, and others.
