Jerry Joyce has had a long-standing relationship with Microsoft including writing 16 books on Windows and Office. He also was a technical editor on numerous books published by Microsoft Press and has written manuals, help files, and specifications for various Microsoft products.
Jerry Joyce is also a marine biologist who has conducted shipboard and land-based research from the Arctic to the Antarctic. He has published extensively on marine-mammal, fisheries, and seabird issues. Jerry co-owns a small consulting firm, Moon Joyce Resources, and is an advisor on marine issues to Seattle Audubon, a member of the Science and Conservation Committees at Seattle Audubon, and is a former Board Member of Seattle Audubon. He chairs the Birds and Mammals monitoring workgroup for the Puget Sound Partnership and is extensively involved in oil-spill issues.
