Mark Sirota

Mark Sirota is a hobbyist photographer living in greater Philadelphia who finds that the majority of his favorite shots are of his young kids and their friends. He maintains a public gallery of his favorites on Flickr.

Mark has a background in software engineering and system adminstration, and works in his day job at the University of Pennsylvania, providing next-generation network services to a community of 40,000 people.

This background served him well during the initial public beta of Lightroom, when he was named one of 50 "Most Valuable Contributors". Mark is a Lightroom Guru at Lightroom Forums, and also actively participates in Flickr's Lightroom group discussions and the photo.net community forums.

Adobe first released Lightroom in 2006 as a public beta, asking photographers to participate in the design through the associated discussion forum. While that forum is now closed, the opportunity to influence the direction of Lightroom still exists. read more
