Jao van de Lagemaat

Biography

Jao van de Lagemaat is a fine art photographer operating in the Denver area. He is best described as an enthusiastic amateur with a penchant for creative solutions to photographic problems. In his day job, he is a scientist studying solar energy conversion at the nation's premier renewable energy laboratory. This combines well with his obsession with light in general and with every aspect of photography, both technical and creative. He is most comfortable with landscape photography, but thoroughly enjoys doing portraits and candids. He can often be found hiking or skiing before sunrise in remote mountain and desert locations just to catch the right light. Read more about Jao on his blog and check out his images on his website. He also has a constant stream of images on his flickr page.
