Neil Rickert earned his Ph.D. at Yale in Mathematics. He is currently a professor of computer science at Northern Illinois University. He likes to keep contact with the practical side of computing, and so spends part of his time in UNIX system adminstration. He has been involved with the IDA sendmail project, and is largely responsible for the current version of the IDA configuration.
