Brad Snyder is a locally published event, photographer specializing in equestrian sports. Semi-retired, he divides his time between freelance work as an engineering consultant, and photography as a profitable hobby. Brad lives in northeastern Maryland, where the Chesapeake Bay meets the foothills of the Appalachians. This picturesque farming and waterfront community, situated between Baltimore and Philadelphia, is home to nationally known equine breeding, training and competition facilities. Brad has had the opportunity to work with riders ranging from toddlers in lead-line events to reigning Olympic Gold Medalists.
Like many of his contemporaries, Brad picked up photography in the age of film and darkrooms. Giving up the camera to pursue a career of electrical engineering and industrial computing technology, he was lured back by the advent of the affordable digital SLR. With two young daughters competing in local equestrian events, and a knack for getting the 'good shots', he was able to establish a comfortable market niche. Brad has worked with Lightroom since Adobe's acquistion of Pixmantec's Raw Shooter Pro, and the first Windows Beta release. Well known in the Lightroom community, Brad can usually be found contributing to several Lightroom centered end-user support forums. He volunteers his time and expertise as a moderator at www.lightroomforums.net, and flickr's www.flickr.com/groups/adobe_lightroom/. See horses, horses, everywhere at www.purpleumbrellaphotos.com.
