Biography

Lawrence began his IT adventure back in '85. At that time, he was the proprietor of a bicycle shop and decided to computerize. PC based systems were still new at that time, and available turnkey systems didn't fit the business needs. So he bought a computer and dBase III plus and wrote a system during the slow winter season. He learned how by reading the manuals and studying the examples.

He left the bicycle business for IT and used freelance desktop publishing to finance earning a degree in Computer Information Systems. Then he joined the leagues of consultants.

In '99, Lawrence began creating Web sites and spearheaded a strategy migrating Powerbuilder applications to Web Applications. He has wide range of knowledge regarding relational databases, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/AJAX, and Web accessibility. His interests are open source software and the LAMP stack.

Currently, Lawrence is working as a consultant for RoundArch, Inc. (a consulting firm specializing in Rich Internet Applications). His web site is http://lawrence.ecorp.net.
