Biography
Jim Teague works as a Principal Software Engineer for Digital
Equipment Corporation. He has been involved in distributed computing
since relocating to Digital's Bellevue, Washington site (often
referred to as "DECwest") in 1989, and is one of the two original
members of what has evolved into the Windows NT Systems Group.
Jim joined Digital in 1981 after doing programming for a number of
projects at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1978, with a
B.S. in Computer Science, and from the University of Tennessee in
1981, with a M.S. in Computer Science.
In addition to his contribution to the technical side of this book,
Jim deserves some credit for keeping Ward alive by sending him an
infusion of caffeine from Seattle's premier coffee roaster.
Jim and his wife Salley Anderson live in Redmond, Washington with
their Irish Setter, Cooper, and their cat, Wiley.
