Peter Kahrel, born 1 May 1953 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Trained as a linguist (MA and PhD) at the University of Amsterdam. Has lived in the UK since 1994, Working as a typesetter and (copy-)editor for publishers in the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany, preparing for the press both books and journals. Until recently, taught part-time at the Linguistics Dept. at Lancaster University. Has been programming InDesign with JavaScript since 2003, and now also works as a script developer.
