Saied Tahaghoghi is a senior program manager at Microsoft Live Search in Redmond, WA. Previously, he was a senior lecturer at the RMIT University School of Computer Science and Information Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He has a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, a master's degree in computer engineering, and a PhD in computer science, and loves tinkering with both hardware and software. At RMIT University, Saied taught courses on web technologies and security, and supervised research on text, image, video, and code retrieval. Saied was born in Iran, but has spent almost equal parts of his life in Iran, England, Pakistan, and Australia, and is a fervent advocate of dialog among civilizations.
