Bio

Bill Ray started developing software for mobile phones when desktop computers became too complicated for him, and moved to Smart Card development when it became clear that phones were going the same way. He has been working in cryptography on all those platforms for over 10 years and is the author of numerous print articles including coverage of next generation SIMs for Card Technology Magazine. He was one of the authors of Professional Mobile Java Programming (Wrox Press) and contributed to Mobile Java-Cracking the Code (Hungry Minds). His obsession with SIMs is demonstrated by a tattoo of the ISO7816 (SIM) contact pattern on the back of his left hand, though he is still working on making it functional.
