Biography
Jim Kerrigan works as a consultant for a computer hardware vendor.
He has been involved with Fortran in both research and commercial
environments for over twenty years. Jim admits to having used Fortran
to create programs ranging from socioeconomic forecasting to data
parallel algorithms and from a project management package to
operating system monitors. Before working for computer companies
(first Prime, then Sequent, and now Hewlett-Packard), Jim received
a B.A. in archaeology from Temple University and an M.A. in regional
science from the University of Pennsylvania. He has written one
book already, From Fortran to C, published by Windcrest/McGraw-Hill.
