Mike Richardson

Bio

Mike Richardson is a software architect currently specializing in developing highly scalable Microsoft.NET and J2EE applications. As Director of Microsoft Technology for ALTERthought in Richmond, VA, he is responsible for the growth of the company relating to all things Microsoft. In addition, Mike is the current president of the Richmond.NET user group and an active speaker in the technology community. His specific areas of interest and expertise include .NET/J2EE interoperability, high-performance programming, web services, XML, RDF, load balancing/clustering, artificial intelligence, and self-optimizing networks. In addition to his software architecture and development work, he is an IT trainer/mentor, having taught at companies such as Compuware, Lucent Technology, Federal Reserve Bank, Schwann's, Dominion Power, UPS, United States Postal Service, Markel Insurance, AON, ExxonMobil, Fannie Mae, Wellpoint, Delta Dental of VA, CarMax, Verizon, and DuPont.
