Bio

Neil Lee‘s first introduction to Macs was during the venerable Apple II+ era, when he frittered away long afternoons programming in BASIC and playing Castle Wolfenstein. Then came a long period away from computers, where he dug ditches, worked as a movie critic, processed film, and generally acted like a goofy punk rock ne’er-do-well. Having drunk the internet Kool-Aid in 1998, he has been designing websites, writing for his weblog www.beatnikpad.com, and creating “compelling content” ever since. After four years working as a news editor, web producer, and interactive designer for various companies, Neil jumped feet first into education as a full-time instructor for a digital media program in Winnipeg, Canada. He is currently a consultant, freelance web nerd, and semi-professional cat servant living in Toronto, Canada, with his sweetheart Renée and two precocious, domineering felines.
