Charles Schluting

Charlie Schluting has many years of geek experience. After the Army, he began his long CS career at Portland State University, where he also began working as a Network Engineer. After a written essay won him a Cisco scholarship, he decided that writing was actually a viable prospect. In December 2004, Charlie also started working as a freelance writer, publishing a few articles per month. He is currently writing Network Warrior for O'Reilly, starting graduate school, and working as a Unix Lead at Portland State University. His core interests include C programming, routing, BSD, gadgets, video, and astronomy.
