Julio M. Merino Vidal studies computer science at the FIB faculty in Barcelona, Spain. In the free software world, he has been a NetBSD developer since November 2002, working mainly on the Packages Collection (also known as pkgsrc). He also is a regular GNOME contributor (sending portability fixes) and a member of the GNOME Foundation. Aside from these big projects, he also manages his own little creations. His preferred programming language is C++, although he also knows C, Java, POSIX shell scripting, and a bunch of Perl.
