Biography
Brian Sawyer is a bibliophile at heart, a book editor by trade, and a book crafter by avocation. His articles on bookbinding and altered books have appeared in Make and Craft magazines, respectively, and he often writes about making books on his personal blog, when he’s not busy actually making them.
Brian's O'Reilly's prodigal editor, having served as lead editor for the popular Hacks series, editor for Make:Books, and contributing editor to Craft magazine before taking a brief walkabout and arriving back at Head First. Somewhere along the way, in addition to acquiring books for a couple other tech publishers, he has also shepherded books on knitting, baking, and jewelry-making, and even has his name on the cover of an origami book.
He and his family are happy to see that his advanced degree in Philosophy is really helping pay the bills.
