Bio

Howard J. Rogers was born an awfully long time ago in a fairly industrial part of the otherwise quite rural and charming south-east corner of England. He graduated in the incredibly interesting subject of history ...before realising that there wasn't exactly a lot you could usefully do with a history degree. So naturally, he became an accountant. This decision was taken almost immediately before realising that his grasp on mathematics was tenuous at best, and that a balance sheet should balance, but rarely did. So he gave that up fairly swiftly to start teaching people about computers and database systems. It seemed safer that way. This was at a time when DOS was at the cutting edge of technology...an awfully long time ago...and he's been doing it ever since. He migrated to Australia in the early 1990s to escape the cold and the memory of Margaret Thatcher. He joined Oracle Corporation's education department in 1999, but left them in 2003 for the joys of self-employment. He now lives on a 10 acre property in rural New South Wales, where his constant companions are wombats, kangaroos and assorted antipodean snakes, spiders and other creatures out to get him. He is accordingly deliriously happy, but slightly paranoid.
