Scott Thompson is a professional, contract software engineer with a long-standing interest in both computer graphics and their mathematics.
He began at a young age when he spent hours trying to figure out enough Trigonometry to convince an Apple ][+ to draw a circle. With the advent of the QuickDraw, with it's FrameOval primitive, the transition to Macintosh a the natural choice and it lead to a job on a popular design and illustration program which used the same imaging model that Quartz 2D employs. Much of that code has made the transition from QuickDraw to Quartz 2D and your code can too!
