Biography

Gene Steinberg (Scottsdale, AZ) is a full-time writer and computer software and systems consultant. He is the author of more than 30 books on computing, the Internet, and telecommunications and he has written articles for such diverse sources as CNET, ZDNet, MacAddict, MacHome, and Macworld. His weekly column, "Mac Reality Check," is carried by Gannett News Service and USA Today, and his Mac support site, The Mac Night Owl (www.macnightowl.com) is visited by thousands of Mac users each day. He is the author of the Mac OS X.2 Jaguar Little Black Book and The Mac Power User's Book published by Paraglyph Press. In his spare time, Gene and his teenaged son, Grayson, are developing a science fiction adventure series, Attack of the Rockoids.
