Bio

Branden Hall is a programmer, small business owner, tinkerer, and father of two living in the suburbs of Washington D.C. Branden has two great passions, to create and to teach. When he became involved with the Flash in 1998 he brought both passions to bear and quickly became known for both is award winning work and his deep ties to the developer community. He has spent the last decade pushing the limits of the web and teaching others how to do the same. Branden's love for programming started at age 11. Conveniently, this was also when he became friends Keenan Keeling, with whom he founded Automata Studios, a software development consultancy, in 2006. Since then they've enjoyed working on some amazing projects for clients such as Adobe, PBS, Chanel, The Washington Post, and Lionsgate Films. In addition in late 2009, Branden, with longtime friend and collaborator Joshua Davis, released the HYPE framework. HYPE is a collection of ideas and code that is built to help developers of all skill levels more quickly realize their creative visions.
