Andrew C. Oliver is a professional cat herder who moonlights as a software developer and runs a small consultancy with an ugly retro looking website that one day will be updated when he and his compadres aren't too busy working with clients.
He founded the Jakarta POI project and the upcoming Enterprise Reporting System project. He's an active member of the Apache Software Foundation, a PMC member of the Krysalis foundation, President of the Triangle Java Users' Group, and a committer to the Apache Cocoon and Lucene projects.
You might also catch him lurking on the JBoss or Jetspeed lists. Finally, when his ADD kicks in he's writing trash in his blog, playing around with Mono, reading an encyclopedia, or making irritating noises with his guitar, much to the annoyance of his wife. And yes, he'll sleep when the recession is over.
