Mr. Pogue,
First, I would like to thank you for such a
wonderful series of books. I have
and will continue to recommend your publications to all my students and
workshop attendees. I also give out copies of Macs for Dummies when
I sell my older Mac computers.
I am in the market for a reasonably priced, simple, easy-to-use digital video
camera that will be compatible with a new iMac. I don't have the new iMac yet,
but will soon. I'm looking forward to using iMovie2. Any recommendations on
camera selection will be greatly appreciated. The intent of the camera is to
film family activities and new product inventions to host on my Web site.
I'm not really looking for top-end commercial cameras.
Thanks for your assistance. And keep up the great work. You have made my
life and the lives of thousands of others much easier.

Hi John,
I would shop for a mini-DV digital camcorder. I'm partial to the ones by
Sony and Canon.
You'll have to visit their Web sites to take a look at
the available models. The range of prices and sizes is considerable.
Hope this helps,
David
