Creating Identity Plates in Lightroom
by Colleen Wheeler

Personalize the Lightroom environment by having Identity Plates appear throughout the application. Identity Plates have practical purposes too. They can be used to identify slideshows, web galleries, and prints. In this downloadable PDF excerpt from Photoshop Lightroom Aventure--Mastering Adobe's next generation tool for digital photographers, Mikkel Aaland shows you how to set up your own Identity Plate.

If you are printing four pictures on a page with the 2x2 cells template, how can you print the Identity Plate on each picture? -

In the print module - Overlays (Right panel) you can select "Render on every image".

Thanks Sid. Just tried that and, yes, it does put it on each image - bang in the middle of each one and you loose the facility of moving it. Any thoughts on fixing that.

Two possibles:
Build an ID plate that has the image offset on a large transparent BG (something like TPI's on my site at LightroomExtra.com )
Or..... wait and hope for a change in a Lightroom point release :)
