Upcoming Mac OS X Conference
by Tara McGoldrick WalshNetwork Newsletter for 07/17/2002
Dear Reader,
Many of you are getting ready to head to next week's Open Source Convention in San Diego, so as you prepare for your trip, consider the next one you may want to make--to O'Reilly's first Mac OS X Conference.
With the release of Mac OS X and its underlying BSD kernel, Apple has taken a bold step toward a more open operating system. This step dovetails perfectly with O'Reilly's commitment to the Open Source Movement, so the next logical step was to host a conference. We've tailored O'Reilly's Mac OS X Conference to developers, users, and technical staff--Apple faithful, Unix/Linux converts, and Java programmers alike--and it promises to be an in-depth tour of all things Mac OS X.
Where and when you ask? The conference will be held at the Westin Santa Clara in Santa Clara, California, September 30 to October 3, 2002.
Registration has just opened. If you register by August 9, 2002, you'll save up to $545.
