We all had heard the rumors that a G4 PowerBook might be introduced at MacWorld SF 2001. But very few of us watching Steve Jobs unveiling the new Titanium G4 PowerBook during the keynote were prepared for this jewel.

Described as "Sex plus Power," the latest Apple laptop shines with the following features:

  • 400 or 500 MHz G4 processor
  • 15.2" wide screen
  • 128 or 256 MB RAM
  • 10 or 20 GB hard drive
  • Slot-loading DVD
  • 1" thick titanium body
  • $2599 or $3499 price tag
  • Below are a few pictures that I took on the show floor. Based on the desirous gazes of all who held this Titanium wonder, it may be a while before I see one again.
