Fredrik Lundh just posted an excellent overview of the “with” statement. If you haven’t been watching, the “with” statement is new in Python 2.5.

That was indeed a good talk about the "with" statement. I am going to give a "Python in 60 Minutes" talk at my university's CS department next week. I'll make sure to talk about that feature, assuming I have time to develop some example code that uses it.
