Mac and Linux people may be happy that AT&T is at least considering their operating system for enterprise-wide desktop use. I’d more interested in them dumping Windows.
All the corporate world needs is a little courage, which might come in the form of a big company taking the lead. Let’s hope they make the right decision for the right reason (whatever that is).

MS hate loosing mindshare almost as much as they hate loosing cash... Perhaps the guys at AT&T want cheaper pricing ?

That's not really blackmailing. AT&T is just looking for a better TCO. Microsoft can choose to affect Windows' TCO (in a number of ways) for AT&T if they are interested in keeping the business.
