Is it just me or is the news this weekend flying off into the realm
of the absurd. Today, for example…
- Olestra, the fake fat that introduced the term anal leakage
to our lexicon (scan down for entry 4 if you need to know about anal leakage. It’s worth reading, if only for the priceless observation that “Snacking should be a pleasure undiluted with problems like dirty underwear”), has been
declared safe by the FDA
- Over 300 people have declared their interest in becoming governor of California
this fall. Including Larry Flynt
but not, at least not so far, including the sage of Sebastapol.
- The Department of Homeland security, mere weeks after
standardizing on Microsoft products for both their desktops and servers, has realized that the decision might have security implications.
Of course, it appears that the Department of Homeland Security never really took standardizing on Windows all that seriously anyway
