Monopoly and the point of standards
Microsoft is a monopoly. Rules for a monopoly are different for monopolies than for "normal" companies. When Microsoft makes .Net a standard, I wonder what the legal ramnifications are when MS tries to prevent third parties from implementing that standard.
What is the point of making things a standard when you do not allow for others to implements the "standards". I thought that a standard is something that is commonly accepted to be a standard.
