You obviously don't know what Creative Commons is. It allows the owners of intellectual property to control how others can use their work. They can allow it to be freely used, used with attribution, used only for non-profit, or other specific purposes. That's allowing people to be generous by giving them ways to give away intellectual property the way THEY want to, not taking it from them.
