As best I can tell, the 1 billionth song was purchased on iTunes around 0600Z (10PM PST). Somewhere, someone has won a bunch of cool products from Apple. And, boy, am I envious :-)

Of course, I bought my one little song just before the one billionth song was purchased. But, I never win these sorts of things. So, best wishes to the lucky winner somewhere on planet Earth!
