107 New Yeast Genes

Science Daily reports on how a search of "non-essential" yeast genes turned up 107 mutant genes that protect against gamma radiation and influence the effectiveness of anti-cancer drugs. The full writeup from NIEHS talks about how they did it and mentions The Yeast Genome Deletion Project.
