I just ran across a weblog called The Daily Ubuntu. It’s not deeply technical, nor is it only for Ubuntu users, but it does feature a new application available on Ubuntu every day. This looks like a good resource for users of free desktops — it’s a great way to find out what software is available, for free.

I wish there was something for us RH/CentOS folks. Recommendations welcome, although I'll follow this as well.
Another really good site for debian users (and their counterparts like Ubuntu , etc.) is http://debaday.debian.net/ It does the same thing as The Daily Ubuntu, perhaps was even the inspiration for The Daily Ubuntu.
I'm just reading 2 books about Ubuntu 7.04 & have downloaded 7.10. So I am excited about getting apps and where to find them. Thanks for this post.
